REBELS GO TO 3 - 0
The Rebels (3 - 0) dominated Abingdon/Avon (1 -2) Friday night (September 13) winning 40 - 16.
The Rebels opened the scoring with 7:01 left in the first quarter on a 75 yard TD run by Nolan Orwig. The Rebels scored again in the first quarter
when Cole Kinsella recovered an Orwig rushing fumble in the end zone to up their lead to 13 - 0. The Rebels scored twice more in the second
quarter. With 8:05 left in the quarter, QB Dillon Steelman hit Connor Daum for a 21 yard TD pass. Then 5 minutes later, Orwig got loose for a 48
yard TD run giving the Rebels a 26 - 0 lead at the half. Orwig got the only score of the third quarter scoring on a 11 yard rum. After Abingdon/Avon
scored early in the fourth quarter, the Rebels answered right back with another Steelman to Daum TD pass this time covering 50 yards. The Tornados
scored late in the game to make the final Rebels 40 Abingdon/Avon 16.
The Rebels are now 3 - 1 all-time vs. the Tornados with a 3 game winning streak. The Rebels won last year's match-up 35 - 0.
The Rebels host Havana (1 - 2) this Friday at Gary Johnson Field in Wyoming. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00pm.

The F/S Rebels (1 - 2) lost to AbingdonAvon 38 - 6 Monday night September 16. The F/S play at Havana next Monday September 23. Game time is 6:00PM.
Freshman Rebels
The Freshman Rebels (0 - 1) lost their season opener to Elmwood/Brimfield 40 - 12 on Thursday September 12. The Freshman play next at Farmington on Wednesday September 18.
Game time is 6:00PM.
